Marla Moore
Creative Strategy Director
As Creative Strategy Director at BUCK in Los Angeles, Marla Moore pushes creative to be as intelligent as it is artful, and brand experiences to be as thoughtful as they are beautiful. “I specialize in bridging human-centered strategies with systems design to make meaningful brand experiences,” she says. Moore joined the creative design company in 2018, and pioneered the strategy perspective that is now an integral part of BUCK’s offering for clients such as Coke, Google, Amazon, and Facebook. She helps lead teams of world-class artists on multi-faceted, global brand design systems and experiences to ensure that all work is intelligently and artfully crafted to best serve BUCK’s clients. Moore employs a mixed methodology of market research, client insights, and strategy to create compelling narratives and human-centered systems. She has a BFA in design and multi-platform experience in-agency and in-house across private, public, and non-profit sectors. She's been a guest lecturer/speaker for the AIGA Link Program, the University of Washington chapter of The Design Kids, Amazon’s Maker Mornings, Murray State University, and Future London Academy. Outside of work, she enjoys reading books, quoting movies, unabashedly friendly people, spending time outside and traveling—obviously, she notes, she hasn’t tracked many miles lately. When she’s not engaged with one of the above, you’ll likely find her on her couch binging Netflix or hiking with her Australian Shepherd.
